Picking the Right Candle Holders
Candles will certainly add a special finishing touch to your interior design. How much more with the right candle holder? Now, that is where the dilemma is for us average human beings: how to pick the right one from among different candle holders? It certainly is not a very big help to be looking at a page full of intricately and artistically designed candle holders. You will see sample pictures of candle holders made of crystal, wood, ceramic, glass and even metal. These holders cover a wide range, from the tall, slender and tapered candle holders to the cute tea light holders.
So, how do we begin the task of selecting the right candle holders for our homes, you might ask? I am not an expert in interior design, but this much I know. For an accessory like a candle holder, you would either want it to blend in with the whole layout of the room or you can also make the candle holder the focus of attention.
Blending in with the whole concept of the room would entail consideration of the color, size as well as the design of the candle holder. For a room concept that is minimalist in direction, go for candle holders that have muted colors or those with light hues that will either complement or contrast the color scheme. As for the size, tall and slender looking holders or a simple candelabrum will definitely blend in well. Go for the uncomplicated designs as well, nothing that will draw attention to the candle holder specifically.
Making the candle holders the focus of attention in a room is certainly fun, if not a challenging thing to do. The easiest way to go about it is to look for a color, size and design that will definitely draw attention to the candle holder and at the same time complement with the entire room’s design.
